The working principle of the vertical fluidized bed is as follows:

The vertical fluidized bed is mainly composed of a cylinder, a gas distribution plate, a feed port, a discharge port, a gas inlet and a gas outlet.

When working, the gas enters the cylinder evenly from the gas distribution plate at the bottom of the equipment. When the gas flow rate reaches a certain value, the solid particles placed in the cylinder are pushed upward by the gas. When this thrust is balanced with the gravity of the particles themselves, the solid particles will present a state similar to a fluid, that is, a fluidized state.

In the fluidized state, the solid particles show strong turbulence, and there is rapid and sufficient heat transfer, mass transfer and momentum transfer between particles and between particles and gas.

The material added from the feed port is quickly dispersed and mixed in the fluidized solid particles and fully contacts with the gas. The material can be dried, reacted, heated, cooled and other processes in the fluidized bed.

For example, in the drying process, the hot gas takes away the moisture by contacting with the wet material, thereby achieving the purpose of drying.

The treated material is discharged from the discharge port, and the gas leaves the fluidized bed from the gas outlet at the top.

By adjusting the gas flow rate, temperature, humidity and other parameters, the fluidization state in the fluidized bed and the material processing effect can be controlled.

In short, the vertical fluidized bed uses gas to fluidize solid particles, thereby achieving efficient heat transfer, mass transfer and material processing processes.
